It’s fight week for Caged Steel 40! This Saturday, July 5th at Doncaster Dome. Professional MMA athlete Saqib ‘Rebel’ Khan will step onto our Orange canvas. At 37 years old, Khan proves that it’s never too late to chase a passion. Known as “Rebel,” Saqib competes out of Roundhouse MMA, bringing nine years of training and fighting experience into every bout.
Saqib’s story began far from the cage, inside a weight training gym, grinding through tough circuits. It was there that his potential was spotted by his first coach, setting him ton a path that’s shaped nearly a decade of his life.
Standing 5’10” with a 97 cm leg reach and a 70 cm arm reach, Saqib is a pressure fighter through and through. He thrives on grappling and wrestling exchanges, always looking to close the distance and test his opponent’s will.
What motivates him is simple: MMA is part of who he is. He values the competitive spirit, the constant challenge, and the humility that fighting brings.
At Roundhouse MMA, Saqib trains under head coach James Ducket alongside a team that blends different styles and backgrounds. It’s this mix of talent that pushes him to keep improving every day.
Beyond his own career, Saqib has started coaching a small MMA team in his hometown of Burnley, working to guide the next generation and show young athletes what’s possible through hard work and focus.
