Aron Leo Johannsson, the undefeated welterweight champion from Reykjavik, Iceland, will defend his belt against Ryan ‘Big Baby’ Scope, one of the UK’s most respected veterans in professional MMA. Two countries. Two fighting styles. One explosive title clash.

Aron Leo is no stranger to the Caged Steel cage. Fighting out of Reykjavik MMA (RVK MMA), he’s rapidly made a name for himself with a powerful, forward pressure style and serious stopping ability. Undefeated at 3 and 0, Aron is fast, strong, and capable of taking the fight anywhere on the ground or on the feet.
A purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and current Caged Steel Welterweight Champion, Aron’s composure and raw athleticism have made him one of the most exciting athletes in Europe. His team RVK MMA is renowned for producing elite level talent and it’s clear Aron Leo is one of their most promising exports.
But this is his toughest test yet.
Ryan Scope is no stranger to big fights. With a professional record of 10 wins and 4 losses, he’s fought on some of the biggest stages in the sport including Bellator, BAMMA, and ACB.
At just 32 years old, Scope brings a wealth of experience to the cage and a dangerous mix of slick boxing and high level jiu jitsu. He’s been training since he was five years old and is known for his high fight IQ, relentless pace, and toughness under pressure.
Now based out of North East Jiu-Jitsu, Ryan trains alongside world-class talent, the likes of Ellis Younger (BJJ World Champion). Ryan is stepping back into the cage with renewed purpose.
After battling addiction, Ryan’s return to MMA is a story of resilience, redemption, and second chances. His comeback begins with the biggest opportunity of all the chance to take the Caged Steel title and keep it back home here in England.
