What really matters in MMA is your commitmentwork ethic, and discipline. With the right mindset and consistent training, it’s entirely possible to develop the skills needed to compete at a high level. At age 25, you’re likely still in your physical prime, with plenty of time to build your technique, strength, cardio, and fight IQ.

MMA isn’t just about fighting, it’s a blend of martial arts including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing, wrestling, and more. Most gyms in the UK welcome beginners of all ages, and many fighters transitioning from other sports or martial arts get started around this age.

Take a look at fighters like Daniel Cormier, who didn’t fully transition to MMA until his 30s, or Jiri Procházka, who came to prominence later in his career. Age isn’t the barrier people think it is, it’s your dedication that counts.

    1. Hi Jakob, appreciate your views and thank you for commenting. We have had a large number of athletes who started their MMA career after from 25 years and later. Their goals in competing were slightly different compared to those who compete from, say, 18 years old, and their careers weren’t as long. However they have competed for a number of years and had multiple fights within our cage and achieved the goals they set out.
