Furqan Cheema excited to make promotional debut at CSFC 19
Furqan Cheema (7-1) brings an excellent record with him to the cage when he makes his promotional debut at CSFC 19 on December 2nd. The Doncaster Dome will erupt when he takes on Sesku’s Adrian Duchniak in a welterweight contest, with the two popular fighters promising an exciting spectacle.
“I’ve heard great reviews and it’s a professionally ran show,” Said Cheema ahead of his next challenge in Doncaster.
“I also trained under Danny Mitchell (matchmaker) and know how much time and effort goes into the event.”
Previously, Duchniak has told us that his style is about heart, and he promised carnage in the cage on December 2nd. However, Cheema is a fighter that will match that and stand across from him, coming from a good pedigree of fighters in his family and a boxing background.
“I would say I’m a stand-up fighter,” said the Dewsbury-based athlete who fights out of KBW and Aire Valley Martial Arts, who has an impressive seven victories on his amateur resume already.
He doesn’t want to be a one-dimensional fighter, however, and has worked diligently on improvement in other areas, which he has shown with several submissions wins.
“I’ve been learning loads whilst working away in Manchester and had the chance to train under Predators, focusing on wrestling.
“I have also had the opportunity of privates doing my BJJ under Duane Harper at Aire Valley.”
With the success he’s had already, his desire to learn and improve is clearly on the right track. Seeking out good training for all facets of mixed martial arts outside of his comfort zone is paying dividents, and he’ll hope to bring that to the cage at CSFC 19.
Come and support Furqan Cheema on December 2nd at Doncaster Dome, where there’ll be a packed card of professional and amateur MMA, as well as cage boxing on the bill.
