Ben Fahey: You will definitely remember my name!

24-year-old SKA fighter Ben Fahey is part of the exciting amateur bantamweight four-man tournament set to take place at CSFC 19 on December 2nd, inside the Doncaster Dome.

A new arrival for CSFC, the tournament format pits some of the best bantamweights together to battle for the belt and the cash prize. Fahey is excited to return to action on CSFC, especially in such an eagerly anticipated format.

“I love fighting on Caged Steel,” he told us. “It’s always a great atmosphere with action packed cards, and the show being local for me is always a plus!”

A veteran of 10 MMA bouts, Fahey comes from a striking background and hopes to bring this to the cage against his potential opponents in December.

“I’m always looking to stand and trade shots,” he revealed.

There has been some back-and-forth between the tournament combatants, with the potential of facing multiple opponents on one night. Words have already been exchanged with The Unit’s Warren Mason, but Fahey does have respect for his potential opponents.

“I have been matched with some of the best fighters the amateur bantamweight division has to offer.

“For me the opponent who I believe posses the biggest threat is Warren with his ground game. I do not believe he will strike with me, he will look to take our fight the the ground.

“But the fight I hope for the most is against Louis Lee Scott. He is an undefeated fighter with good striking ability, so to test my striking against his is what I’m looking for.”

With so much talent on show and the stakes high, ultimately Ben Fahey believes that whatever happens, it is the fans who will win, and he’ll earn their respect one way or another.

“Whoever I match up with will be a great fight. You will definitely remember my name!”
