Christmas nights out don’t have to mean another meal, the same bar and the same Christmas party as last year. On Saturday 12th December 2026, Caged Steel 44 takes over Doncaster Dome for a full evening of live combat sports and entertainment.
Expect Professional MMA, Amateur MMA, Caged Boxing and Caged Kickboxing, alongside fighter walkouts, music, live production and the atmosphere of a busy fight night.
If you’re looking for a different Christmas night out in Yorkshire, getting the work team together or simply fancy trying something you’ve never experienced before, this could be your night.
And you don’t need to know anything about MMA to enjoy it.
Doors open at 5pm. The show starts at 5:15pm, with the first fight at 5:30pm.
Do something different this Christmas
Christmas is one of the best times of the year to get everyone together. But finding something that the whole group hasn’t already done can be difficult.
Caged Steel 44 takes place less than two weeks before Christmas and offers a completely different option. Instead of spending the whole night around a restaurant table, you’ll be inside Doncaster Dome watching live combat sports from close to the action.
The atmosphere starts building before the first fight. Fighters make their walk to the cage. The crowd gets behind them. Then the cage door closes and nobody knows exactly what will happen next.
A fight could go the distance or finish in seconds.
Never watched MMA before? That’s fine.
You don’t need to understand every technique or know every fighter on the card. Part of the fun is experiencing it for the first time. It’s easy to understand the excitement when a fighter lands a big shot, gets close to a submission or the entire crowd suddenly gets to its feet.
Throughout the evening you’ll see Professional MMA, Amateur MMA, Caged Boxing and Caged Kickboxing, giving you different styles of combat sport across the same event.
Caged Steel is about more than watching fights.
It’s the walkouts. The crowd. The production. The personalities. The tension before a fight starts. And the reaction when something big happens.
Get your friends together
Caged Steel 44 can simply be an excuse to get everyone together before Christmas. Bring your mates. Bring your partner. Bring the family.
You don’t all need to follow MMA.Come for the atmosphere, have a drink, experience the fights and enjoy a Saturday night out that’s very different from going to the same places you normally visit.
The event runs until 11pm, giving you a full evening of entertainment at Doncaster Dome.
Looking for a different work Christmas party?
If you’re responsible for organising this year’s Christmas party, Caged Steel 44 gives you another option. Instead of another traditional office meal, bring the team to a live event.
Our VIP experience is particularly suited to businesses, groups and Christmas parties. VIP tables accommodate up to 10 people, putting your group close to the cage and right in the heart of the atmosphere, comes with a VIP meal, table service for drinks all night and access to the VIP bar if you wanted a break from the action.
It could work for:
- work Christmas parties
- staff rewards
- client entertainment
- groups of friends
- end-of-year celebrations
If you’ve been searching for Christmas party ideas in Doncaster or Yorkshire and want something people will actually talk about afterwards, this isn’t the usual office Christmas night out.
Travelling to Doncaster?
Caged Steel is based in Doncaster, but you don’t need to be.
Doncaster is well placed for people travelling from Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Leeds, Wakefield, Scunthorpe, Lincoln, Nottingham and other parts of Yorkshire and the North of England.
So if you’re searching for something different to do in South Yorkshire this December, Caged Steel 44 can become the centrepiece of your night in Doncaster.
General Admission or VIP?
There are different ways to experience Caged Steel 44.
General Admission puts you inside Doncaster Dome to experience the full fight night, from the opening walkouts through to the final fights of the evening.
Or make more of the occasion with VIP, particularly if you’re attending as a group or using Caged Steel as your Christmas night out. VIP comes with a meal, access to the VIP bar and all night waitered table service (so you don’t miss the action when queuing for drinks).
Whichever you choose, you’re experiencing the same live action and atmosphere inside Doncaster Dome.
Try something you’ve never done before
Maybe you’ve watched UFC. Maybe you follow boxing. Maybe someone in your family trains in martial arts. Or perhaps you’ve never watched a fight in your life.
That’s okay.
Caged Steel 44 isn’t only for people who already consider themselves combat sports fans. It’s a chance to get out with friends, try something different and experience the atmosphere of live combat sports for yourself.
You can always book another Christmas meal next year.
This December, try fight night instead.
