Looking for something different to do in Doncaster this December? Caged Steel 44 brings a huge night of live MMA, Caged Boxing and Caged Kickboxing to Doncaster Dome on Saturday 12th December 2026.
Forget another ordinary Saturday night…
Caged Steel returns to Doncaster for its final event of 2026, bringing fighters, teams and supporters together for a packed night of live combat sports for the whole of the UK to enjoy.
If you have watched MMA or boxing on television but never experienced a live fight night, this is completely different. You hear the crowd. You feel the reaction when a big shot lands. You watch the fighters make their walk to the cage. And when something unexpected happens, you experience it at the same time as everyone else in the arena.
You do not need to be an MMA expert to enjoy Caged Steel.
Come for the fights. Come for the atmosphere. Or simply come because you want to experience something you have never done before.
Caged Steel 44 takes place at Doncaster Dome on Saturday 12th December 2026.

Looking for things to do in Doncaster this December?
December is full of meals, drinks and Christmas parties. If you are looking for something a bit different, Caged Steel gives you another option.
Instead of spending the whole night around a restaurant table, you can watch a live sporting event with action happening just metres away. Caged Steel attracts fight fans, families, groups of friends and people who have never watched MMA before.
It makes Caged Steel 44 a different choice for anyone searching for what’s on in Doncaster, events in South Yorkshire or a new experience in the UK this winter. And with the event falling less than two weeks before Christmas, it could make a very different start to the festive season.

A different Christmas party in Doncaster
Trying to organise the work Christmas party?
Caged Steel is an option for businesses looking for something different from the usual Christmas meal or office party. Our VIP experience puts your group close to the cage and right in the middle of the atmosphere.
VIP tables seat up to 10 people, making them suitable for teams, clients or groups of friends who want to experience the event together. Watch the fights. Enjoy the atmosphere. Have some drinks. Give everyone something to talk about on Monday morning.
If you are searching for work Christmas party ideas in South Yorkshire, corporate Christmas events or Christmas parties in Doncaster, you do not have to do the same thing as last year.
Make fight night your Christmas night out.

What happens at a Caged Steel event?
Caged Steel isn’t one fight followed by hours of waiting around. The aim is to keep the night moving. Fight night can feature different forms of combat sport, including:
- Professional MMA
- Amateur MMA
- Caged Boxing
- Caged Kickboxing
That variety means the style of action can change completely from one contest to the next. You could see a knockout, submission, three-round battle or a fight that has the entire arena waiting for the judges’ decision. There are fighter walkouts, music, lighting, live production and a crowd reacting throughout the night.
It is sport, but it is also a live entertainment experience.

Never watched MMA before? Good.
You do not need to know what an armbar is. You do not need to understand every position on the ground. And you certainly do not need to know who every fighter is.
A lot of the experience is universal. Two athletes enter the cage. The doors close. The crowd gets behind them. Then you see what happens.
If you enjoy boxing, wrestling, martial arts or live sport, there is plenty you’ll recognise. But even if you don’t normally follow combat sports, Caged Steel offers something completely different from a typical night out.
For people looking for new experiences in the UK, this is one you can genuinely say you have experienced rather than simply watched.

One of the UK’s best live MMA experiences – based here in Doncaster
Caged Steel is proudly based in Doncaster, but fight night brings people together from much further afield.
Previous events have attracted fighters, teams and supporters travelling from around the UK and internationally. The previous Caged Steel event page highlighted visitors travelling from cities including Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, Birmingham and London.
So if you’re looking for MMA shows in the UK, events in the North of England or something worth travelling for, Doncaster should be on your list. Doncaster’s location also makes Caged Steel accessible for people travelling from Sheffield, Leeds and elsewhere across Yorkshire.
You can make an evening of it or turn fight night into a weekend away. Looking for more ideas in Doncaster, head to Visit Doncaster website.

You never quite know what Caged Steel will do next
We want people to remember more than the fights. At Caged Steel 43 in July, Hollywood martial arts star Scott Adkins and a film production team came to Doncaster Dome to shoot scenes for Brawler during the live Caged Steel event.
It wasn’t simply a celebrity appearance. The live Caged Steel arena was used as part of the production of Adkins’ feature directorial debut, with sequences filmed during the event.
That’s the mentality behind Caged Steel. We want to keep improving the experience and occasionally give the audience something they simply weren’t expecting when they bought their ticket.
What will happen at Caged Steel 44? You’ll have to be there.

Make a night of it in Doncaster
If you’re travelling into Yorkshire for Caged Steel 44, there is plenty to do before fight night. Check out the Visit Doncaster website.
Doncaster has restaurants, bars, hotels, shopping and attractions, making it easy to build the event into a full day or weekend.
The previous event guide also highlighted Yorkshire Wildlife Park, which is close to Doncaster Dome, for visitors making a weekend of their trip.
So whether you’re travelling from elsewhere in Yorkshire, the Midlands, North West, North East or further afield, Caged Steel can become more than a few hours at an MMA show.

Bring your friends. Bring the family. Bring the work team.
Different people experience Caged Steel differently.
Some come because they follow MMA. Some support a fighter. Some bring their children because they train in martial arts. Some book VIP tables and turn it into a night out.
And some arrive knowing virtually nothing about MMA and leave wanting to come back.
Caged Steel events welcome all ages, and Doncaster Dome has disabled access. The important thing is experiencing it live.
